pool house - mAGNOLIA, tx
new construction
About pool house project
The primary goal of this project was to seamlessly connect the newly constructed pool house to the existing residence while creating a cohesive and elevated outdoor living experience. The original outdoor kitchen was small and detached from the main house, so the new design focused on establishing a functional flow—from the interior of the home to the poolside retreat.
The completed pool house now includes a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with custom cabinetry, a lounge-style sitting room with a fireplace, and a full pool bath with shower and changing area—making the space highly practical for year-round use, especially during hot Texas summers.
Full-Service Residential Interior Design Project
This was a new construction project in which our studio led the full design process - from architectural detailing and material selections to furnishings and final styling - to ensure a cohesive, thoughtfully curated result.

Natural Materials / Sustainability
The structure is clad almost entirely in UltraShield® wall cladding, a high-performance material made from capped wood-plastic composite, which is resistant to stains, fading, and UV exposure. It is Extremely low maintenance - no painting, sealing, or refinishing which is suitable for Texas humidity and temperature shifts. This modern exterior solution allowed us to achieve a rich wood look without the upkeep of real wood.
Special attention paid to the site / location
Nestled along a scenic golf course, the home enjoys sweeping views of the fairways and lush greenery right from the backyard. This outdoor living space was designed to take full advantage of the picturesque setting, creating a peaceful, resort-like atmosphere that can be enjoyed year-round.
The pool house sits along a scenic golf course, giving the backyard unobstructed views of rolling fairways and mature trees. The layout was intentionally designed to maintain privacy from neighboring homes and enhance the feeling of a private, resort-style escape.
Interior design style / aesthetic
A modern, streamlined aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the existing home through shared architectural elements, finishes, and tones. The design prioritizes simplicity, durability, and comfort while avoiding trends that would feel disconnected from the main property.
Color scheme
The color palette of this pool house is a refined blend of earthy neutrals and cool, modern tones, creating a serene, resort-style atmosphere. Warm brown wood tones introduce natural depth and texture, offering a striking contrast to the crisp white stone fireplace. Soft white travertine flooring further brightens the space with a clean, timeless look. The result is a calm, elevated environment that feels sophisticated and seamlessly connected to the outdoors - resort-inspired without feeling overly decorated.
